Felföldi Family Celebrates Success with Forbes Magazine
Felföldi Family was invited for the “The most successful family-owned Hungarian companies” gala hosted by the Forbes Magazine
For the fifth time, Forbes magazine has compiled its annual “top 25” list of the most successful family-owned Hungarian enterprises. Felföldi Confectionery Ltd, was invited for the Gala night designated to celebrate the most successful Hungarian families.
The formal announcement of “The most successful family-owned Hungarian companies” took place at a memorable reception hosted at the Festetics Palace in Budapest last night. Founder and Chairman Joseph Felföldi attended the event with his son Roland, who as CEO of the company, takes responsibility for managing the future of Felföldi Confectionery Ltd.
„ More than 25 years ago, when I launched the company with a strong belief in what now would be called ‘disruptive innovation’, I was inspired my own children. I wanted to create candies for them and for children of their age that could bring some extra joy to their daily life.” – recalls Mr Felföldi – “I am proud of the fact that millions of children and their parents around the world enjoy our products, made here in Hungary and it is an even more significant pleasure to me that I can share my success with my family, now that my children are fully grown and active in the running of the business.”
“There is no rest for 2019 and 2020, however!” – says the always energetic and ambitious leader Joseph Felföldi.
“I think the results of 2018 speak for themselves but our success does not entitle us to lean back in our chairs and get too comfortable! Following our vision, we are working on becoming the leading family-owned candy and snack producer in Central-East Europe, and with all these efforts we also aim to help the economic growth of our region and country as well. We have several such long-term goals, which can be achieved with hard work and clear vision, but of course we have focus for short-term plans too. For example, in the near future, we are fulfilling our customers’ wishes by opening, here in Debrecen, our first retail store, which will specialize in Hungarian ingredients sourced from small local producers.”
